The block buildings in the place where I live…

Long roads…

Deep perspectives…

Similar frames…

These streets were named as “Tatavla” where the Ottoman Empire Byzantium citizens (in Turkish: Rum) lived. About 10 years ago we could have seen those houses that reflects culture. At the times when civilizations like Rome and Byzantium were ruling these places were mostly plain lands. For 100 years before these lands were full of truck farms (Tatavla District). Now we are linig the years where urban renewal (kentsel dönüşüm) rules those streets. This city which grows constantly still gets more and more crowded day by day. The buildings being juxtaposed and looking very similar to each other, annoys the artist most of the time. He photographed these streets monotonouses, similarities and mediocres which evokes me suburb settlement.

Juxtaposed structures…

Monotonouses…

Similarities…

Buildings that collapse the sky…
